Our geography teaching aims to deliver a high-quality education where children are inspired and enthused to find out about the physical and human world. We believe it is important to provide our children with the opportunities to use a range of investigative and problem-solving skills, both in and outside the classroom, to develop a deep understanding. We encourage our children to ask questions and show curiosity in the world around them to develop skills in reading and recording geographical information. Through their growing knowledge and understanding, children will learn about places, people and the environment. By exploring their own locality and through studying others, they will learn how to draw and interpret maps and deepen their geographical skills through enquiry learning.
